Welcome to Castle Rock Writers! We’re happy you found our website and the information about our activities.

First of all, our yearly conference will be entitled “Writing That Resonates: A Celebration of Creativity & Craft!” The 2025 Castle Rock Writers Conference will once again be held at the Lone Tree Hub in Lone Tree. The date is Saturday, August 23 for the in-person conference, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The pre-conference will be on Zoom on Friday evening, August 22.

Our monthly newsletter will announce when the website is updated and conference registration is open. Our volunteer Conference Team is still hard at work!

This year two tracks will be offered: 1. Fiction & Non-fiction and 2. Poetry. Each track will have three sessions in the morning and afternoon. The Fiction & Nonfiction Track will be led by Gemini Writer’s Studio, a group with Julie Cameron at the helm. You may know Julie as a literary agent with Landon Literary. She and two of her colleagues will be handling the track, sharing their expertise.

The Poetry Track will also have three sessions, and the leaders will be announced next newsletter.

Also in the afternoon, a Panel Discussion is available for all writers and poets, sure to be full of wisdom and writing suggestions. The Conference will also highlight a Silent Auction, give out a snack bag and drink, offer a lunch to pre-order, and award door prizes.

More information on the conference weekend will be forthcoming, as far as cost, speakers, and what to bring with you. The most important piece of information at this point is to SAVE THE DATE!
